There are 2 types of contact number which you can find under Boost Portal to update:
- Primary Contact Number
- Alternate Contact Number
This can be found under Manage Content>Business Profile>Contact
Primary Contact Number: Primary contact is the number which is used to create the website. This number remains active always and will be used by NowFloats to pass on any information via SMS to the business owner.
This number is also attached to the VMN(Virtual Mobile Number) which is provided by NowFloats to track the calls being made by online customers to the business.
Alternate Contact Number: Most of the times a business has more than one contact number to which the business wants its consumers to reach out. In this case, the customer can add more contact numbers under the alternate contact number.
How to update "Alternate Contact Number"?
NOTE: If a VMN is attached to the primary contact number then alternate contact cannot be displayed. This is to ensure that we are able to track calls via VMN and not bifurcating calls to other numbers which cannot be tracked. As for each call tracked picked/missed all the data is given to the merchant to access it later and not lose any leads.
